Kade’s about to Hit the Open Road…

..and what does every road trip need?

AUDIOBOOKS!

The audio book release for DEVIL’S CHURN is only a month and a half away! On April 29th, you’ll get to hear Kade for the first time.

Then every following month? More Kade! Each book in the series launches at the end of the month from April to September.

All six Fort Black Thriller audiobooks will be available on Apple, Kobo, Libra, Spotify, and Audiobooks. And for you library lovers, you’ll also be able to find the complete series on Hoopla and Overdrive.

Pre-Order Links are here:

Devil’s Churn
Death Bed
Mineral King

Death Toll
Roundhouse
Russian Hill

But that’s not the only good news.

Kade’s going far and WIDE on this road trip!

I’ll be moving the Fort Black Thrillers into the broader market. That’s right, you’ll soon be able to find eBooks, print, and audio across all major book sellers.

I mean, really. Who doesn’t want MORE Kade?

KU ALERT!

This change WILL affect KU availability. Starting March 23, some of the eBooks in the series will no longer be available for KU subscribers.

But if you download them all NOW, you’ll still have them in your library until you return them…

As the audiobooks land in other stores, I’ll be letting the KU rights expire to expand Kade’s reach. To participate in KU, authors must be exclusive to Amazon. The start dates for that exclusivity stagger with the dates the book was placed in KU. So they’ll move out unevenly from late March to late May. Awkward, but not something I have control over!

Nomad News

We’re currently right outside Zion National Park. Weather was bright and sunny on arrival and we got a good hike in. However, we pushed north a little too early this year and woke up to several inches of snow the last few days.

Our “Hindy” has been holding up well. We’ve got a cranky leveling jack still which I’ve had to de-ice with a hair dryer at least once and try to reseal.

She wouldn’t be the same RV without a little bit of trouble…

The expensive turbo and actuator replacement has been amazing – no more overheat warnings. We even climbed the steep and long stretch up I-17 out of Verde Valley toward Flagstaff without any trouble.

Some amazing scenery from the trip so far…

Our current southern Utah location is in striking distance of not only Zion but also Bryce Canyon National Park. We just came from the Glen Canyon Recreation Area around Lake Powell. Before that, we’d been holed up right in the middle of Coconino, Prescott, and Tonto National Forests.

Next stops? Capitol Reef, Arches, and Canyonlands National Park. After that, Grand Tetons and Yellowstone…

Why do I bring all these parks up?

These are public lands. Yours and mine. And the recent chaos in D.C. has impacted them.

I’ve worked and volunteered at National Parks across this great nation. Every year is a struggle to meet the demands of millions of visitors each major park receives a year due to constant short staffing and underfunding.

(Yes, congress passed bi-partisan funding a couple years back but most of that was to cover backlogged maintenance projects.)

The parks are now struggling to maintain visitor safety and protect these pristine spaces under the current drastic cuts.

Hopefully, this is short-lived. But whatever direction the political winds blow, we should all do everything we can to keep these amazing places public.

If you have the time, please contact your representatives to help protect these lands for future generations.

Thanks again for reading!
